Need Some Advice

Post by Ben S. »

I hunt in area 93. They're having a muzzleloader season for the first time(Nov2nd-8th). I have the following week off. How much will this muzzleloader season screw things up for me. I know you area 92 hunters can help me with this. Thanks in advance.

I also hunt in 93. Personally I don't think you have anything to worry about, there will be at least one day of rest for the deer because most of 93 doesn't allow sunday gun hunting. Also as long as your scent control is good you should be fine.

I find our muzle loader season here to be pretty quiet, not a lot of guys are in to it.
It will depend on how the hunt is handled, if they lay in wait for deer nothing will change, if they push bush it will scramble the deer up and they will go nocturnal for a while.

You can't depend on conditions ... ever.

You've got to play the field the day you're in the game.

Example: A 250 acre woods near here that I had intended to hunt this week was reduced by 1/3 yesterday ... and by Sunday, it will be gone. That's how quickly clearcut logging changes things. I didn't even know they were going to cut it. Will that bother my hunting? Not one bit.

I'll do something else!

Nothing was certain anyway. Nothing ever is.

Take things as you find them and have a good time doing it!

Get a big'un! :D
