Do you watch hunting commercials?

Post by Mike P »

I am very curious about something and I think you guys may be able to clear it up for me. I know most of you watch the outdoor hunting shows on television. What I would like to know is do you also watch the commercials in between the actual show segments.

I know I watch the commercials just to see what might be new in the hunting world and what innovative products have hit the market.

With normal television shows, I find myself grabbing the remote and fast forwarding past the commercials as I have little to no interest in them.

So, tell me your thoughts and vote in the poll.

Yup - although we don't have cable or satellite so we rarely get hunting shows. I have a friend in Minnesota who used to send up videos and DVDs of recorded show - always enjoyed that!

hunting show commercials

Yes, for the same reason you do--to see what new equipment is out
there. For example I noticed how many shows featured hunts in which
bog-pods were used. Eventually, I bought the new camo version and
used it successfully with my phoenix crossbow in early bow season.
Have also used it this week with my 30-30 in WMU 42's rifle season.

I usually don't watch the commercials because most of the actual shows are just long commercials anyway.

I have country cable and do not watch any hunting or fishing on the TV. But I do watch online and it makes it easy to by pass all the ads. 1/2 hour show can be watched in 15 to 20 minutes.

I'll watch anything that may involve hunting or fishing, so that inludes the commercials.

I'm TV-free.

Don't watch broadcast material on the tube at all.

I have one, and watch selected movies and videos on DVD sometimes.
