Bucks

I have decided after seeing all the decent Bucks on my place to be abit more selective starting today. Exception is a big cow horn spike 10" plus, always wanted one fer my wall. So if its not 6 pts or better its free ride. I have seen 6 Bucks in past 9 days of 6 pts or better & most in range of my CB

Hi smoke, some of us are beginning to think that our liberal doe harvest and the telecheck system is starting to have a negative effect on the doe heard in some areas, but it is definately helping the quanity of bucks. we are seeing the same thing where we hunt. fewer does and more bucks. question to ponder is that really a bad thing.

I've been so long without seeing a deer . . .I may shoot another large squirrel!! :)

I'm headed to Virginia on Friday for a little .270 action. I'll take my Exomax for a morning or two.

Friday can't get here soon enough!
I'd rather wear out than rust out.

Me too. I think really big cowhorns are unique and interesting. I once saw two, while bowhunting, that probably had single beams 16" long ... looked like twins. Out of range, though! :? :(

Nothing wrong with that!

In spite of the "attitude" we sometimes run into concerning gun season and gun hunters, I like rifle hunting, and don't plan to quit! :D

As a book I like says, "To everything there is a season ..." :P

Hope you kill a few! :D 8)

I have a doe and a decent 9pt, and my freezer is full. I am only looking

for one buck right now and thats all, unless one walks up better than him.

I'm letting my farm cool off right now as I hunted fairly hard the past

month........ In a way......I hope I don't see him till next year. :D

I'm allowed three bucks, but normally I only take one good one. I haven't

shot my 308 at a deer in five years.
