Thanks all ... The pic's from the tail end of the season where mostly taken with my small pocket camera ...
Yep it was a fun season ... And Pyd put his time in ! ... It was awsome to see it end successfully during the last moments on the last day !
As Sandman and I left Pyd's place last night ( we stopped there to help with the deer dress out and skin ceremony ) ....
Sandman said " Just cool to get out on the last day with friends that all share the same outdoor affliction " " Can't think of a better way to start into a New Years Eve ! "
Then all we could talk about was scouting new properties , moving stands , building stands etc. in preperation for the next season !

Persistance paid off! Congrats to you Pydpiper! Its great that you all are able to hunt in the groups that you do. Most of my hunting is solo. It has its place too but having friends to hunt with is always great!

Sometimes it's hard to keep up and get out with everyone , but hwen we do , we usually have a blast ! .... Even if we don't connect on whitetails , turkeys , ducks , gesse jack rabbits , whatever .... there is always some kind of interesting sidetrack things going on like
" trying to catch wild chickens " !
" pushing trucks out snow drifts " !
" watching thru your binoculars as your buddy carves a new climber tree , then goes up and down it three times to retreive dropped gear ... only to explain later , that he was just trying to keep the deer focused on his side of the field so you could have a better hunt ! "
Those activities are best shared !

Thanks for the best wishes everyone, it truly was an awesome season! Every day was a true adventure.
I said about a week ago that it isn't about the harvest for me, and this deer doesn't change that, although it is great to have her all tucked away in the freezer!
I came out of the woods this year with new friends, great smiles and a craving for back bacon every morning..
I hope everyone has a prosperous 2010, you all deserve it!

WTG Pydpiper....I knew that you would succeed!! I read almost every post on here from Oct-Sept and I do think you are the only one who sat in stands as many times as I did this past season!
Enjoy your well deserved venison....this is special.
