I have remodeled a normal folding metal chair. I lowered the chair seat to make it more suitable for a lower profile. The back legs were one tubular piece that went from side to side.I cut this tube section off leaving enough to reattach after shortening the leg portion coming from the seat. Reinstalled the bottom tube to maintain support. In the front with a brace bar that went from leg to leg I used the same principle cutting off the front legs with the brace attached, shortened the upper tubing and reinstalled the braced leg portion. Camo paint the chair to suit the surrounding cover that you are in. One chair can be made for each cover habitat situation. The low profile - custom made height for the users wishes - provides ease in hunter concealment with the comfort of a back support. This provides a compact, lightweight folding chair that can be easily stashed, or carried out.

I bought this for my SIL for Christmas because he was always breaking his stools. He went out the next morning and connected with a doe. He loves his. It is very sturdy and swivels.

We use the same style. Can find them in camo for discount prices at WalMart from time to time. Comfortable, not too tall, don't sink in the mud too much. I stuff mine in the bag with my blind.

Canadian Tire had the exact chair you were mentioning. Not sure if they still do.
