NOT HUNTING - BUT...

Post by Real McCoy »

I know this is not hunting or crossbow related but there are more readers and did not want to put it in the "cesspool" (as Vix calls that area).

Find out the other day that my Mom has lung cancer. She also had a mass in her colon that was baseball in size but was not cancerous nor did the doctor see any evidence of any in that area. The amazing thing is the way it was found. Her primary doctor was looking at something minor and called for a CT scan. He said he doesn't know why he called for that test because he has never done it before it that kind of situation. Ain't God good. Hopefully we caught it in time and it will be treatable and not cut short the years she has left. I have been truly blessed to have had both my parents for a long time, my Dad turned 90 in June and Mom was 87 in October. This past Christmas was my 69 straight Christmas with her. Saxman's photo of the beautiful sunrise reminded me of just how good God really is and that He really cares about each of us. Remember her in your prayers when God jogs your memory. Thanks for letting me share, feel better now.

God certainly is good as well as sovereign. I have taken great comfort in that throughout the years as it looks like you have. Prayers for her now, but comfort in the fact that if not now, healing will come in the future.

Thanks to each and everyone of you for your kind words and especially the prayers.
Went to the woods yesterday (archery goes until the 31st). Just sat and enjoyed the quiet. Didn't take the bow, don't know if I could have pulled the trigger if one had stepped out. The trigger pulling will come later but not right now.

Once again a big "THANK YOU" to one and all.
