Can't count to 5!

Post by vaguru »

This is what happens when you can't count to 5 and shoot number 5 arrow at spot 4! I pulled the other arrows because it made it difficult to get a clean pic. This was my first time out with the new front aperture I made with interchangeable inserts. Testing to see which insert I liked the best. Guess the one that was installed at the time this happened!

I did shoot a 60 shot round to see what it would do. Scored 300-52X. Not too bad.

That arrow kept you from scoring another bullseye.

Nice expensive shooting.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5 . . .got it?

Summer,

Negative. If I remember correctly, remember I can't count to 5, you can shoot all your arrows in any spot. This one scores an "X', just like the one it "centered". I think!

I'm not going to try that Scott. I do know for fact that Danny Miller did just that, a double Robin Hood. He has it in his shop.

Nah . . looks like you came up short by about three inches. LOL. I have no idea on scoring that one, you are probably correct.

My signature used to say, "A robinhood is no big deal, it's actually a mistake". I changed it to it's current quote in memory of my Grandfather.

Keep shooting, looking good.

I have done that a few times, but never as straight as you managed to do it! Thats a keeper.
A "Robin Hood" is when you do it intentionally, other than that is is just a fun mistake.

That's a cool picture! I bet you wondered where your arrow went at first, eh?

Here is a great video of a Robin Hood, some very cool high speed video shots as well. If you need me to translate just shoot me a PM.

He's shooting fingers, but didn't see a peep in the string, was one there?

Looked to me like the last shooter was using a "Kisser button" on the string and that was about it. I'll guarantee that the fingers go to the exact same spot under the chin and the string goes to the exact same spot on the lip and nose every time!

Ischa,

No, I knew where it went. Especially after hearing the distinctive telltale metallic tink! Knew I had just shot at the wrong spot! Tough getting old!

In the second picture, the target on the right shows that you could do it again.

Is the new sight allowing for better consistency somehow ?
