I would love to see NYS legalize them. At this point I would settle for Handicap/Seniors and legal during firearms/ML seasons. My vortex is great on woodchucks just dying to use it on deer. You guys/gals don't know how lucky you are that you are able to use them in your state or province.

liaf I don't know if you know it or not, but it is illegal to hunt any animals in ny with a crossbow, you can use it for target shooting only. Believe me I am also waiting for them to legalize it since 2004

Up 4% from 20 to 24% since this a.m. when I saw this on AT and voted then.
don't hold your breath, NY is gonna be a tough nut to crack, their legislature has set the parameters, not F&G.

Smokepole and me went to a benefit shoot near Knoxville for Mark O'Brien, an Iraqui war vet that lost an arm and a leg in that sandbox and still doesn't qualify for a handicap permit in NY.

They only allow breath tube type triggers which means if you have one finger that wiggles, sorry Charlie.

I voted for the crossbows too. I have distant relatives that have land on Lake George . . .would be cool to hunt up there sometime with the crossbow.

It will be almost impossible to out vote the antler restrictions. Way more gun hunters voting for that one.
