Welcome to the forum

Most poeple try to get the longest arrows they can :)
But you should use what ever works best for you
cut down the 2219s and try them thats the fun of it. I think they will work JMO.

My reasoning leads me to believe:
If a 20" arrow works fine in an exomax an 18" arrow should work in the Ibex which has a 2" shorter rail.

Matter of fact - I shoot 18" arrows in my Phoenix most of the time and can see no change in accuracy.

The shortest i have cut arrows down is 17", with a brass insert up front carbon in the back. 2' blazers .AVERAGE GROUP 2" at 50yds off a bench rest , just remember too take your arrow off the shelf if you are unloading in the dark after a hunt. The one thing a longer arrow will allways be contacted with your boot going in to the stirrup and a shorter arrow will not.

Good point!
I almost always shoot an arrow into the ground to unload, so I don't worry about that happening to me.

Shorter arrows will definitely fly faster .

But they will also slow down faster.

try some of each :D

Thanks everyone i will try a number of lengths and see with some weight up front. How about feather length what seems to work best 4" 5" 2" and feathers or vanes. All my arrows will be used for hunting.

I started with 5" feathers on my crossbow arrows.
I then switched to 4" feathers for better clearance in the track with the helical I was using.
Someone on here offered some free samples of 2" Blazer vanes a few years back, and I was given a few vanes to try.
I fletched a few shafts and tried them out, and have used only 2" Blazers since! I'm shooting 18.5" 2215s with 2" Blazers at 4º offset and have never experienced any accuracy problems.
