NY Allows Crossbows

We can finally hunt with a crossbow in NY, but we have to use them during firearms seasons.This is a step in the right direction, but falls short of a goal to allow disabled hunters to use a crossbow during archery season. The ultimate goal is to allow crossbows during archery for everyone.

We'll get there. There's light at the end of the tunnel now.

Thats great news it looks like I will be able to use my excal during firearms season in 6K this year . It appears that I have to wait till the 2011 season to use my excal

Congrats on the first steps! I for one cannot grasp the reasoning behind sticking a bow in gun season, but hopefully they come around.

It's a start. It only took six years to get this far. I hope it comes full circle before another six years go by. Crossbow use by everyone during the ARCHERY SEASON!!!!!!!!! WE WAITED LONG ENOUGH.
