Re: Installed a tree stand today!
love the idea on the climbing sticks! Ive actaully just wrapped the camo cloth tape around any part that meets the tree toi get rid of squeeking.. nothing worse than something that squeeks when you are hunting and trying to be quiet!

Re: Installed a tree stand today!
i need to get those also since Im found out that when you hit 30 your not as limber as you use to be LOL.. i just dont trust slipping since ive done it before and its not funbstout wrote:I hear you, Smoke.
I also use the Fall Guy 20+ Safety System (I own four of them).
I have them permanently installed for the season at each stand. I don't pack them in and out each time.
These devices allow me to ascend and descend at a normal rate of speed. Any fast/sudden motion and they lock up NOW like a seat belt in a car.
After you've used them for a few years, you won't want to be without them.

Super dual purpose no harm to the tree, don't get me wrong I've put many a hole in a tree and will again, it don't hurt to keep it to a minimal.

Re: Installed a tree stand today!
Well the only safety railed hang on i found cost more than my ladder stands. Reckon i will just stay with them fer the cost involved. Good stuff you show how to use Bob.
