STS and the like
Hi all
I have looked at the sites about string dampeners. What is the underlying principles they are trying to accomodate?
I assume they keep the string from traveling past it's needed travel ?
Is there a limit that the string can take getting slowed down?
Inquiring minds have to know ?
Also, we have a lot of coyotes here. any hints for getting them close enough?
Thanks

Re: STS and the like
I bought them hoping to quiet my Exomax down a bit, they don't. But, I'm still glad I have them as I feel its a little insurance against a dryfire. If you wait a bit, Excalibur is coming out with some. The STS everyone uses have to be altered, which is baloney! Hang tough and get the Excal version.

Re: STS and the like
unfortunately, no. there supposedly a patenet infringement on what New guy made and he stopped to avoid problems. it was a shame since they are so nicely machined and adjustableLakelover wrote:Is the NGSS still avalible?

Re: STS and the like
Does anyone have a picture of how these things mount? I'm looking at my Axiom and can not for the life of me figure out how they would mount. Other than that, it seems they should be easy to make some yourself.
Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison; And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die. Gen 27:3-4
Re: STS and the like
Excal has been dominating the recurve market for a long time. STS, ect are fairly new on the scene.
There's no magic in them, lol.
Honestly.

Can I contact New Guy?
I have an Idea or two.
I have done orthopeadic work for years and much of it has to do with impact absorbtion, walking and running can create huge forces. They are many products on the market. Rubber bumper that don't last 20 shots seems amaturish at best.
