Dan is the man!

Post by strum »

Well guys if you remember ..last week i got my first cross bow..a used but like new..Exomax..
Then after a little time sighting it in and being amazed at its accuracy..i went ahead and dry fired it ,,not once mind you but twice..first time no foul second time ..a busted limb tip..
that was thursday of last week ..well its thursday and i am holding my crossbow again thanks to MR Dan Miller.
shipped it to him Fri got it back Thur..Wow!! I think the service is faster than their bow..I wonder how many ft per sec ..that was..lol.
Havent shot it yet because when i got home ..i didnt have time to sight it in and go hunt so i chose to hunt with my compound and sight it in tomorrow..
since im new i have a few dumb questions if yall can help me out .
I have 2 strings that came with it that are black and gray.
the strings dan sent me are green and tan..any differance or are the newer ones just a diff color?

Your more likely to cause limb damage with those FFF strings in the event of a dryfire! Shoot the Excel until you are comfortable enough a dryfire may not happen

Don't look at it as though you are a victim, look at it as though you are now are more experienced archer. :D

There may not be any difference in the strings. Dacron strings come in different colors. I have some that are green and tan and I have some that are gray and black.

The identifying difference between the dacron and the Fast Flight Flemish(FFF) strings is . . .the dacron is endless loop . . .Fast Flight Flemish, you guessed it, it's a flemish string. :)

Crap . . .I forgot about those . . .never owned one . . .

strum . . .I'm in Marietta, GA . . .come on down, bring the strings and I'd identify them for ya. :D

If you shoot it and it yells, then it's FFF . . .otherwise, it's a Dacron.
