Stupid Questions

Post by awshucks »

There aren't any. Boring and redundant to some maybe, but not all. Some of us 'mid-range' members recall when we were new and confused and all the help we got from the 'older-timers'.

Some will 'pay it forward' sharing observations, others just scroll on by. It all works.

You will find:

1. differences of opinion
2. location in profile helps
3. Bill T posts rarely
4. Listen close when he does, lol.
5. Respect and decency are the norm here.

This is coming from a nobody. I don't hunt a lot, haven't taken a true 'gagger' of any species by any method, but damn, I like these Excal xbows and this forum.

I've been thinking about making this post for over a week, a real rarity for me, so in closing, welcome all, good luck to all, pass what you learn/observe on someday.

Sometimes I want so badly to answer the questions but I don't feel I have the experience to be taken seriously. I welcome the pm's I get tho and am happy to help anyone at anytime. Lord knows I benefited from all the wisdom here and made a pest of myself to wise ones.

Well, much as I don't like to start an argument, the fact is, there are some stupid questions. Not many, but there are a few. :D

I admit I have posted a few newbie questions and maybe a stupid question or two but I have learned a lot from the group. It says a lot too when someone like Awshucks takes the time to write a PM and share their wisdom and experience. I appreciate it and I know I am a better shooter for it. Maybe it doesn’t get said much but thanks to everyone who answers a question or helps to solve a problem.

Well Awshucks, if Don likes you and says you're a stand-up guy, then it must be true, since he's one of the most stand-up guys there are.
On the other hand Boo doesn't say anything bad about anyone so maybe......JK :P

From what you've posted many times over, I don't need anyone to tell me that you're one heck of a gentleman.

i have always read what you have said Awshucks and found nothing wrong in your words, what i have found wrong is someone who shoots an innocent ATV while it wasn't looking  ....i came here looking to buying the best crossbow made after many hours reading everything i could on all xbows out there and seeing the excalibur name rise to the top over every other xbow company out there....never read bout any recalled excaliburs ever, but found just bout every other company out there had some....i have asked my share of dumb questions that have gotten answered politly and with good info....i have also gotten many pm's thanking me for my help and pm's from others saying i'm doing good at helping others also, you guys/gals know who ya are  ....i offer my help on what i know by doing what others have said and seen that it works and then pass it forward to others....once again thx to all who have helped me and made me feel at home here..........bob
