HCO ScoutGuard / ScoutView SG550V Camo Trail Camera

Post by Boomer »

Has anyone ever used a HCO ScoutGuard / ScoutView SG550V Trail Camera? I'm looking at getting one and was just wanting some input.

Rumor was that the bushnell trophy cam was made in the same place. Same cameras with a different shell. That's the rumor though. I know people that use them and they like them. I was going to get one till the trophy cam came out.

I have one, I love it so far. Just put it out again the other day overlooking my foodplot. I made a metal case for it to help even better against theft.

For all trail cam info check out www.chasingame.com

The Scoutguard, HCO and Bushnell 'stories' can be complicated, but this site knows their stuff!
I have the 550V and it is quite the amazing cam for its small size.

I have 2 SG550V. Bought the first in May 2009 and the 2nd in June 2009.
Use them a lot. Have metal cases and Python locks also. Purchased from
"Trail'n Security Cameras" online. Thought one was a dud but it turned out to be a faulty SD card. Plastic tab broke onthe power switch on one of the cameras and it was replaced (camera) no questions asked. A couple of my
buddies have also purchased them after seeing mine and have had no issues.
For the price they are a great little camera. Trail'n security Cameras were great to deal with also.
