compound x-bow cocking

Post by alf7555 »

Is there a "breaking point" in a compound x-bow when cocking it like there is in a reg. compound bow ? I can no longer cock my Phoenix without the crankaroo due to back surgery. Was thinking a compound x-bow would be easier to cock with cocking rope.

Keep the crankaroo and keep your Phoenix that would be my option if it comes to that.

I had a Paradox Excaliburs version of the compound crossbow and it still required quite a bit of pull to cock it.

^^Nice answer.

I have a compound crossbow aswell. It takes all the force to cock it until about 3/4 then its probably 75%. I can get me excal 3/4 of the way but then run out of oomph and cant do it without the aid.
