Post by JimM »

Hey everybody. Just a quick question. I ordered a dozen shafts from Wyvern (and I must say I got them in three days :D ) and i went to put my white wraps on them and the width was to short. where can i get wraps from that will fit a bolt width ?

Thank

Jim

Speak to Mindy and tell her you want the same width that the crazy azz Wes gets all the time for his crossbow!

Hey Jim,
I buy all my wraps on eBay. You want 1 1/4" wrap. It will overlap a little but that's OK.
Most wraps are 1".
All my bolts are 22/64".
That's 22 divided by 64 = .34375 X (PI) 3.1416 = 1.079925 .
As you can see, that's over one inch. That's why it didn't fit.

1 1/8th works but it depends on what side they make the cut on. It wont have any overlap hardly at all when you wrap it

1 1/4th is what most use. Has some overlap but you dont have to worry about it being to short and having a gap

you usually get wraps in 2-3 days after ordering.. They are some of the best people to talk to at onestringer. They have my business and I havent had a issue in 3 years with them and thousands of wraps. 8)

Ahhhh, the arrow wrap, or bolt wrap.
The arrow wrap is a vinyl sticker that you wrap around the back of a arrow. The main objective is for visual affect, and I.D. It has replaced the crest, which was painted on.
Most people will tell you that the vanes stick to the wrap, better than the arrow itself.
You can get camo wraps, bright fluoresent wraps, flame wraps, lighting bolt wraps, flag wraps etc......................................................................

I started using them so i could find my arrows after a shot from my tree strand. Thats why i use just plain old white wraps. I would hope to see a red wrap after the shot. :D

I get mine from onestringer also. I order the 10" wraps, solid colors, and cut them in half. A 5" long wrap is plenty for me and I get twice as many.
