I don't own any of the Thumbhole stock models, i have shot them. I found the safety was no problem & in the future i will purchase one of them

I prefer the traditional over the TH because when you have arms like an orangutan  . A longer stock is more comfortable . :)

Traditional for me too.
We have one of each here, my body seems to prefer the traditional stock.

:) My M14 didn't have a thumbhole stock. None of my rifles or shotguns have thumbhole stocks. I choose the Exocet 200 because it doesn't have a thumbhole stock. If God wanted man to have thumbhole stocks Walnut trees would grow with thumbholes, without need to drill holes (and knot holes are not holes).

If you have large hands like I do the thumhole stock is easy to hang on to. I can hold it well with one hand by my side. But like what everyone has said its a personal choice. :D :D

I've had both and yes, personal preference is a huge factor BUT I've discovered, that when adding accessories such as camera mounts, range-finder holders... the thumbhole stock is much more accommodating! Just a thought to keep in mind.
