triggers and Bows customer service
Ill admit that I am a bit of a regular, but today was a bit above and beyond.
Stopped in with my 3 year old to look around, found some Federal ammo that my 204 loves to eat, brought 4 boxes to the counter with matching lot numbers. Julie, one of the owners had given my daughter a hat, nice camo reversible, only because she gave my other two kids hats in the past.
When I got to the register with my ammo I realized I left my wallet in my coat, at home. I said "sheesh, I came to Burford for beer and bullets and I show up with no wallet!" She opened the cash register drawer, handed me beer money and my bullets and said to come back another time to square up.
That is the kind of stuff that keeps customers.

So if I need some arrows or something else I can just say I left my wallet at home and they will put it on your TAB

Too bad there are a heck of a lot of people out there who would take advantage of that. Wouldn't it be nice though. I prefer to make deals on handshakes and so far haven't been burnt yet.Chuck Gravel wrote:It would be niceif more buisness were run like that

They are a great store....
Heading there Saturday to hopefully have a scope mounted on my muzzleloader and check what other goodies are calling my name.

Ummmm...also illegal unless they had your PAL info from a previous purchase and properly registered the transfer of ammo at the time.
I hate to be a party pooper, but they could get into trouble on that.

Its hunting season, my PAL, outdoors card, and tags are always in the back of my van with my climber and bow, not in my wallet.
But yes, they do keep all customers on file with their PAL info so each transaction conforms to Ontarios delightful laws. Even though I am there almost daily I still have to hold out my PAL when I buy a gun or ammo, which is a few times a week.
No party pooping to be had here, just good service and cheap advertising.
Remember my first experience in retail with you Stan? Everyone has a different way of conducting business. This is a country shop that likes to know the name of everyone that walks through their doors, and treat them with respect.
Even though the storefront is new, these guys are far from new in the firearm community. The owners are the Landsboroughs, a respected name in firearm trading.
So, to reiterate, my PAL was present at the time, but my money wasn't.

Just another reason to go there shopping tomorrow
The best things in life are not things!!
Re: triggers and Bows customer service
I would like to say I'm surprised, but I'm not! They're a 1st class, top shelf operation with plenty of good ol' fashioned customer service. I love shopping there - just don't get there often enough. (Which is probably a good thing, or we'd be even more broke!)

Re: triggers and Bows customer service
Glad to know they are doing things right.
I haven't had the opportunity to visit the shop but have spoken to them at a trade show, and they are very nice people.

Have been to the store a few times . They all seem to be top shelf . You are treated like a friend from the time you walk through the door .
