This was the 11th buck I have seen this year. 8 of them were shooters in my area (at least 3 points on a side).Sadly I will have to wait til next year for one of the big ones since PA is a 1 buck state. Hopefully I can get my son in law onto one of the big boys. He will be getting first pick on what stand he wants to hunt when we go out together on Sat, Mon and Tuesday.

good job mister, as for the big guy who came in quiet and got away, i was told by a community elder when i was young that i should always let the first real big buck of the year that shows himself to me walk; because he could be the father of them all, she said he shows himself to a hunter at least once during his hunting trips but a young buck is okay. just a little Iroquois culture for all you hunters. i have followed this advice ever since and i have been a very successful hunter.I give thanks to the creator and to every animal I take,
