Well after seeing 14 different bucks and passing on a couple of 2 1/2 year old Eight pointers since October 2nd I decided to take this one.I have a couple larger ones on the trail cam but did not see them.Never saw this one on the cams.Took this one at approx 6 PM on 11/3.He came up past me at 5 PM but was about 70 yards away.Got above me in the thick stuff and I started to see trees shaking and heard limbs breaking.When he came by me at 70 yards he crossed over two sent drags I had made and never reacted to them.He must have circled above me and came in behind me and picked up a sent drag I had made from that direction.When I heard noise in the leaves I looked behind me and he had his nose to the ground following my sent drag . At twenty yards I took the shot.When I recovered him he had bark hanging from his brow tines from marking his territory.
