A genuine bowie style!
But just a tad smaller than the originals.
I bought the wharncliffe model this summer and found it's very useful despite the small size. I figured the bowie style blade just might be handy for field dressing, so I'm getting one to try.
Specs:
Overall Length: 5.13"
Blade Length: 2.12"
Blade Thickness: 0.108"
Blade Material: 5Cr15MoV (Stainless)
Blade Rockwell: 55-57HRC
Handle Material: Micarta
Weight: 1.60 oz.
Sheath: Kydex
Sheath Weight: 0.50 oz.
The only modification I made was to replace the paracord lanyard on the neck sheath with 1/16" (2mm) elastic shock cord tied so it could release if it snags on something (like in a fall).
I can wear it as a neck knife and forget it's there it's so small/light, but it provides a secure fit when I grip it.
I'm currently using a Puma Rattler for field dressing and it works fine, just had an urge for something new/different.
