Sounds good!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I made jerky out of the backstraps of the two deer I killed so far this year.
I don't think there would be too many ways to prepare the backstraps that they wouldn't be good. :D

BTW - I always take the leftover meat from a roast and shave it through the slicer. Makes great sandwiches for however long it lasts.

So that's who was cooking venison today, I knew I smelled something good to eat! :D
Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison; And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die. Gen 27:3-4

We just had a wonderful venison stew this evening also, it was from my brother's deer this year. The roast sounds delightful also!! :P

Hoss, you're a lucky man!! Both for the loving wife, and the gourmet venison. Enjoy.
