Surgery

Post by Kelley »

Hip revision is done and I am home safe. This is the first time in over 2 years that I am not in excruciating pain. Haven't had any pain meds today and it is wonderful not to have to take any. They pumped me full of morphine and oxycontin while I was in the hospital and had to take a oxycontin pain pill to survive the three hour ride home. I am having withdraws from the meds but am so glad to be pain free. I will be glad when the withdraws are over. The surgeon I had is wonderful and as soon as the right hip heals I am going to have the left done.

Good news!

Becareful with the oxy's. I have seen many who are addicted to that and its not pretty. I was perscribed that once for when I had a peice of metal drilled out of my eye and I took one and it knocked me on my butt for hours  worst trip ever!!! I flushed the rest.

Thank you my friends. The withdraw period is over and discomfort is within my tolerance level. I am waiting on the PT guy to show and report progress to Dr. It is wonderful having GREAT friends like you and the ones that have been emailing and send me PMs.
