Friday evening is their social gathering at the feeder!
Finally got out to check the feeder today (last check I made was on the 4th, but the landowner told me it still was over 1/2 full on the 10th) and they had finally emptied it. There was only a couple handfulls of corn left, so I dumped what I had stored in my ground blind in and got it 2/3 full. (about 70#) Looks like I'll need to haul in another 2 or 3 bags this week.
Pulled the camera card and had a few pics (692 pics in 12 days), but the only daylight (legal shooting hours) pics were both on Fridays!
Luckily they are mostly does and one button buck, so they would be legal for me to take. (I already took my buck for the season) I just may go spend a few evenings at the feeder in the next couple weeks. It would be nice to shoot one in thes cold weather and not be in a mad rush to get it checked in and in the processor's cooler for a change.
