Vortex Pro-extreme Broadhead Picts.

Post by WTB »

This is my BH of choice. I used the 100gr version last season with great success. I will be using the 125 gr this season with a 25gr tappered booster on the end of a Firebolt w/2"Blazers (total weight 406gr)

The pictures of the four 100gr (used) head were from this year. Alot of people complain that the blades are weak and bend and have to be replaced. Well Duh! they are supposed to. I was able to salvage one blade from each shot. I replaced the bent blade and resharpened the good used blade. :D

The Vortex design is similar to many mech BH but upon closer inspection and comparison one can see the tiny differences that put the Vortex ahead.

All I know is that they provide accurate shots, huge blood trails and short recoveries :D

Put a few of the commonly used broadheads in the same picture. That way we can get a better idea of the size. Here is a picture of the Slick Trick, the Spitfire, and the Stricknine.

I like the short trails of the wide blades. I'm going to try the Vortex three blade when I run out of Stricknines . . .may be a while . . .
I'd rather wear out than rust out.
Perception trumps intention.

The Vortex is really easy to set up for a practice head. :D

Remove the 0-ring and replace with several wraps of a thin wire (finished head- 125gr)

I haven't shot at 40yds + yet, but at 30yds they are dead -on with the Sauders 125gr combo-tip
