The Vortex 125gr. out to 30yds is dead-on with the Sauders combo-tip.
For practice, remove the o-ring and use a thin wire to wire the blades closed

If you go to Excaliburs website, then click on arrow performance, you can just about put together your fps by looking at all the charts available. By shooting a light arrow and heavier broadhead, your compensating for a better FOC. or you can go brass insert instead of aluminum insert that was provided by Easton,,and go much lighter broadhead,,you have tons of options to play with and that is what makes it all fun. Pick what works for you and refine it any way you want as I love to experiment and see what works,,,however,,as great as the Excal crossbows shoot, almost anything will work.. A heavier arrow setup will give you more Foot Pounds of Energy and more shock in the killing power. Study the charts and enjoy shooting.
