Hey guys/gals I am thinking of making a wall mounted bow case, out of iron of course. What I need are some dimensions to work with. Overall length, overall depth(including stabilizer?) and overall width, excluding quiver. Although I could use the measurements on some quivers. Also, what would you think the longest arrows would be for compound bow users?
Thanks.

You can take the man out of the woods but you can't take the woods out of the man.

Re: compound bow dimensions?
I would assume that you have a bow to put in it. Use these dimensions.

You assumed wrong. I do not own a vert. bow.
I am going to be making a cabinet, to be mounted on the wall. It is for a fundraiser, so I am hoping to make the cabinet suitable/useable for most compound bows.
The inside dimensions I am thinking of are: 24"w x 42"h x 6"d. The width is somewhat restricted due to some pretty cool material I found and am hoping to use for the doors. I would like the cabinet to hold a bow, a dozen arrows, a quiver, and maybe a small shelf for some accessories.
What is the largest, common diameter of arrows used?

Re: compound bow dimensions?
My Easton Fat Boys (line cutter arrows for targets/3D) are 0.35" or 9mm but most hunting arrows are less than 0.275".
Here is Hoyt's line of bows. http://www.hoyt.com/compound_bows/
The height should be ok for many of the modern compound bows. Most of my compound would need about a 15" width for the bow and stabilizer.

If you want I will send you some pics through PM of a few different Compound Bows.
That way you can get an average. I can pic with tape measure.
Dont worry about Old Jim's post, not much good coming from him so far.

I'll take any intel I can get. Thanks John. One measurement I would like to know is the distance from the outside of the cam to the crook where it meets the limb. What are the sizes of the cams?
Thanks again.
