There are many helpful accessories available but depending on whether you plan to target shoot or hunt these will vary.
Practice is a big key to being successful in both areas.
Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.

Hunting: scope, sling, cocking rope, stringer, extra string.

Agreed, cheek piece is a must.

Vortex, Phoenix, single-shot rifles and handguns.
Incurable tinkerer.
Why hunt? Simple, it's BASIC. Why breath?!

Agreed, plus, I put a cheek piece on my stock to aid in aligning my eye to the scope quicker. It's helped me, but not everyone needs it.

If you are only going to buy one or it should be #1 on the list of many.

I can't agree that a cheek piece is the #1 accessory. I tried one on my Ibex and did not like it. Putting the bow to my shoulder with my eyes closed and then opening them to see if I was looking through the scope worked well without the cheek piece, but with it my eye did not end up in the right place. Just another example of not being able to please all the people, all the time I guess.
Is recommending a target for practice too obvious?
cheers,
David

Weird. At least it was a topical thread, not another Russian trying to sell us black-market electronics, or a troll trying to stir up sh!t.
