saying "hi"

Post by xbowrook »

well, i am new to the site and wanted to drop in and say hi. I used to shoot a Hoyt but recently had shoulder surgery and made the obvious choice to shoot an excal xbow. picked up a new excal pheonix, love it.. a lot of fun to shoot, hope to try to take a turkey with it this year, we'll see. i haven't hunted with one before, but my dad has had his for 16 years and loves it... just wanted to say hi to all and hope to discuss many hunting topics with you all in the near future..

Great choice on your excal! Once you get it dialed in...don't shoot at the same place twice!!!!

I had major shoulder surgery in 03...doctor made me take a year off from vertical bows. Once I picked up my pse I couldn't shoot it! Nothing like a little surgery to change your perspective about x-bows!! Lol

yeah, i just had surgery on feb.2 of this year.. still pretty darned sore.. it was open surgery so they say it takes a fair bit longer to heal.. i've always like crossbows and intended on getting one, just not this early.. i'm only 34 this year and a big guy ( 6'2" 230lbs) and i liked the vertical bow.. oh well, you gotta go with the cards life deals you i guess... i love this xbow, there was never any doubt in my mind about what brand i'd get. excal all the way. now that i have one i just can't wait to shoot it some more..
