New Excalibur Owner!!!

Post by Max-4 »

Hey there, I just bought a new Excalibur Exocet 200 with the "right stuff" package and the new shadow zone scope. I spent yesterday putting it together and setting the perfect eye relief for my scope. I must say I am really happy with the quality and fit/finish of this new bow, it fits me really well and seems like its pretty much fool proof. I got the regular string and standard firebolt arrows but I am looking foward to playing with the faster flemish string and some good quality aftermarket carbon bolts this summer.

I am new to the archery hunting world and am glad I went with the recurve limb crossbow. I was in a toss up between crossbow or compound bow but I picked the Excal because its no nonsence and easy to keep running, and its made in my home town too!!! Cheers

The shadow zone scope looks nice to me, I have looked thru my friends vari zone and the shadow zone seems to have finer crosshairs and distance markers. Allows for being a little more precise, I understand the lumi zone is this way too. The reticle lights up nice and bright in both green and red, good for those low light days! Seems like a nice scope so far, havn't shot it yet.

Welcome to the club. Wait til you shoot it....you'll have an ear to ear grin on your face. :D :D :D

P.S. Three key pieces of advice when shooting to avoid a dry fire:
1. Cock string.
2. Put safety on.
3. Load a bolt.

Very, VERY good advice!!! The ones who have done it, do it while having the bow on a rest and target shooting.
