Help with sting making supplies

Post by firewood »

Hi ALL,

Just got a Phoenix about 3 weeks ago, love it, shoots great. I want to make my own replacement endless loop strings, I have the materials around my barn to build a stringing jig but my problem is that I really don't know much about the serving and string designations.

Could someone with more experienced hands guide a noob to the right string and serving string for my crossbow. I'm not looking for the highest state of the art materials, just good quality reasonable priced stuff.

Should I get 1/8,1/4 lb spool, how many 32-40 strand strings will a 1/8 spool make.

Thanks

How many typical crossbow strings do you get from a 1/8 lb or 1/4lb spool?
