From what I get out of it they are proposing to lower the age a person can shoot a crossbow to 55 years of age. One step at a time.

While were all focused on Wisc.as the paragon of anti-crossbow sentiment, Minnesota is even worse. Yes, we can get a 'handicapped" permit with drs confirmation of disability, but there is no end in sight for inclusion for non disabled. Just corresponded with a DNR muckydemuck who simply stated that the state archery lobby is opposed to any changes in current provisions affecting crossbows, so even the 55 yrs of age issue is off the table for now. Tried to convince him that more hunters now and into the future is good for their budget woes, but he wasn't inclined to listen.
Talk about backwards!!! But then this is the same state that required an eye examination every two yrs to use a 0 power scope on a muzzle loader. I got them to change that- to every five yrs- when I told them that my eye acuity was unlikely to change for the better (at 71 yrs of age) and it was costing me $90 of an eye exam every two yrs. Guess I'll have to spring for another one at 76.
Our pubic servants may be public but they are definitely not servants!
Vortex, Phoenix, single-shot rifles and handguns.
Incurable tinkerer.
Why hunt? Simple, it's BASIC. Why breath?!
