Just got him home

Post by The Schnitz »

I just got my mount back of the 12 pointer I shot last fall. I think the taxidermist did a great job. He officially scored 165 4/8 gross and 162 1/8 net typical. Almost perfect!! For the full story see the July issue of Ontario Monster Whitetails.

First off, WOW, congratulations on killing that monster. What a beautiful buck. You must have been excited to see those horns coming out. Awesome. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to see this beast.

Nice mount! He's GORGEOUS!!!

I also really like the way you set up that photo with the weathered barn board background - very nice!

OH, I have been wanting one like that my whole life. Those long tines are outstanding. I would get a heart attack watching that brute coming in, but what a way to go. :) :) :) Congrats to you. 8)

Thanks for all the kind words and I'm glad everyone likes the look of him.

Enormous I got him close to there.

Vixchick, I wish I could take full credit for the weathered barn idea but I borrowed that from our own Unclefester.

bcmuledeer, he is alert, just the way he was before I shot him.

GaryM, I got him with the shotgun. However, the only thing that would have made this sweeter is if I would have got him with my Equinox.
