In all seriousness , if these fish are so plentiful ; fish them commercially . Sell them back to China , process them for cat / pet food. Grind them up for fertilizer . Must be a few more uses . You could make a few bucks and get rid of the problem at the same time.
They are fishing for the Asian carp commercially here in IL. I know a commercial fisherman the works out of Grafton, IL, at the junction of the Miss.River and the IL River. He uses nets and right now he is getting $0.18 per lb. for them. Farther up the IL River, at Pearl, IL, they are building a processing plant that will clean and freeze the fish and SELL THEM BACK TO CHINA. Gary

if the fish and wild life see that there is a dollar amount attached to this fish there will be a new season and harvest and permits and regulations and they will be here to stay! instead of letting them wipe them out!

Whether they were of Asian descent or not really doesn't matter.I think live fish markets and fish farmers are to blame for this and the stupid flying carp. Who in their right mind smuggles a fish in that can live out of water for days at a time As far as I understand possession of a snake head live or dead is illegal in Canada except for in bc. Time to give anyone possession of one of these thing an automatic Jail time for long enough to make them never want to come close to a fish again.
Snakeheads are the next large mouth bass, will probably start seeing tournaments for them once they eat everything else up in the rivers. The Potomac is full of them. The guys are work catch them everytime they go out, they say they are delicious to eat.

I was watching a fishing show on wild tv the other day and some fishermae in Florida were out fishing specifically snakehead. They were raving about how great they were to fish for and they were also practicing catch and release??
