Sunday Hunting

Does your Province/State allow Sunday hunting? I'm curious about this as I just read a post that said he was allowed to hunt on Sunday. We are not allowed to hunt on Sunday in Nova Scotia, which cuts down the time most people can get in the woods as they only have Sat.

Where I hunt (Fergus, Ontario) we have a bylaw against discharging a firearm on Sunday. We can hunt on Sunday but with out using a firearm, archery only.

The county I live in allows bowhunting on Sunday but not firearms.

Where I turkey hunt allows Sunday gun hunting . That is nice when as said before we all are cramped for our time .
I Sunday bow hunt as well .
As for the church part on a Sunday . I say a prayer every day I go out hunting . I figure if I`m sitting in a treestand or under a tree . I have no roof to obstruct my prayers .

Ontario oks sunday hunting, but its up to each county
to allow it and to say what you can hunt with

Where I hunt we can gun hunt on sundays where I live it's archery only

we sunday bow hunt especially if we miss out hunting saturday due to work, weather, etc. in terms of gun hunting, where we hunt is right on the border of where sunday gun hunting is allowed/disallowed. unfortunately, we're on the wrong side of that border. No sunday gun hunting for us.

we hunt on sunday here and there is a church every mile or two i live in the bible belt.but when i lived in mi we could not hunt on sunday?

Where I live/hunt in Michigan, been hunting on Sunday since the early 70's when I started, but there are/were a few county/townships were zoning laws did not allow hunting on Sundays if I remember right. But none were in the areas we hunted.

Yeah, I think Michigan is pretty much all Sunday hunting allowed. I think one of the last holdouts was Hillsdale County in SW Michigan but they've since voted to repeal that for the most part. I've lived in Michigan, as an Ohio transplant, since 1984 and have always been able to hunt on Sunday. In Ohio that wasn't always the case. I don't know if they've changed or not.

In Texas you can hunt on Sundays. The liquor stores are closed,but you can hunt!

In my area there's no gun hunting on Sundays. But I can shoot like a mad man at targets! But the bonus is that there is a late waterfowl season!

In Quebec we hunt on Sundays ,i say a couple of prayers in the best church (in the wood with god creatures )

Wow! I am missing out when it comes to Sunday hunts. Seems like everywhere but here allows it, wonder why they don't let us?
