Game Cameras in Ga

Post by Carutht »

My brother and I put out salt/mineral during turkey season in Ga. Having done so we also put cameras overlooking the area.
We returned this past weekend to do some work and pull our flash cards. A 128MB card was filled. Two 2GB cards were filled. All the pictures were of deer. The really facinating thing was watching the antlers grow in time lapse photography with our game cameras. This is a first for me because I usually get a thousand pictures of does. One camera had 95% bucks with over 1200 pictures. This is the best scouting tool we use on our lease.
Yes sir you are right, 99.99% of the pictures are at night.

I was using two ScoutGuards.

I reformated the cards and put them back out in the same place. If the big boys are still around I will save a few pics on my flash drive.

I returned August 11. The card had only 2 pictures of deer. A very small doe and a spotted fawn. What was happening with the bucks and the salt/mineral ended between July 30 and August 11. My camera shut down because the SD card was full July 30. Rats! I really wanted to see the bug guy with split G1's just one more time. The camera is still out so if it happens I will post it.
