I have a half n half Jack Russel & Beagle. See didn't take the pic Self-timer did. Bet she could if'en i showed her a few times, I didn't even put her on the trail. She trailed me back to my tree stand & found the deer.

Beagles and beagle mixes make good trail dogs. I have a cur dog I use to find wounded deer sometimes. She's and old couch potato now, but still likes to do it. When I used to be in a big hunting club, guys would call me at all hours to come help look for deer so I quit taking her.

Congrats on getting one in the box and releaving the early season tension! Season starts here in the morning.

Congrats VM, that's a mighty fine doe you got yourself there.
Although I would not be listening to the "Gendoc" when he says
mighty fine VM...i bet she eats real good
The way I see it, She might of eaten well before, but after you "logged" her, she ain't going to be eating good or bad. The truth is you'll have to do the eating for her.
