The reason why

Post by LongCarbine »

My father-in-law is in his 70's and hasn't bow hunted in almost 15 years and dosn't gun hunt much any more because of the cold , WE thought since I can't x-bow hunt in WI. he can. So we took my X-Cal out and sat in a little woods ,well we saw some turkeys ,squirrels and geese . At the end of the hunt 3 does came walking up to us I whispered 21 yards to him but he was enjoying just being out there so much , He didn't even have the bow in his hands ! IT was really a good time and I enjoyed the replay of the hunt all the way back home. Now guys THAT is what it's ALL about .

Been there done that. :D Killing ENDS the hunt, so I'm into watching em walk too. Should be practicing walking in stead of shooting.

Incurable tinkerer.
Why hunt? Simple, it's BASIC. Why breath?!

Now that was priceless. I am jealous, I sure wish I still had my Dad to go hunting with. You are so lucky, very nice. Enjoy every single moment you have with your parents. Thanks for the story.

It is so easy to get lost in the moment and so hard to hold onto that moment for it passes all too quickly and they, like we, shall never pass that exact way again.

What would you give to be able to have one more hunt with your dad?I know I dont have that much money. Those surely were the good times.

Does it get any better than that?? I don't think so. :)
Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.
