Post by gogo »

I have a varizone scope that just lost its focus. I tried to adjust it but it still will not focus properly hunting season starts saturday and a quick fix is needed. Would appreciate any suggestions. thank you

gogo, when you turn the focus ring to adjust the eye-piece, is there resistance at all?

As I mentioned to Wildlife, the simplest fix is to return it. Though unless astore is near you, it may not make it back by Saturday.

Found the problem, just for the heck of it I looked in the scope with my left eye and lo and behold it was in focus. Instead of a scope problem I have a big eye problem. When i close my left eye everything is out of focus in my right eye,not good. Eye doctor here I come wish me luck. Thanks everyone

Sorry to hear it's not the scope.
That's usually much easier to fix.

I've noticed my scope (Leupold) doesn't focus as well at close range in dim light as I get older.
