I headed out on Friday for my first hunt of the season at a farm in the Mt Forest area that I have permission on owned by a 77 year old man that is probably in better shape than most 25 year olds.
I arrived to find the farmer underneath his round baler trying to replace the pick up forks. Well I didnt get to hunt that afternoon but we changed all of the forks and got the baler up and running again.
It was pretty much dark when we finished but I pulled the card from one of my cameras and was pleased to see a number of potential cadidates for the 2011 season including;
Great pics there, and kudos to you for lending a hand. That one afternoon of helping has secured you a place with that farmer for quite a while. Small deeds speak great volumes. Long way to go from Cambridge to Mt Forest but rest assured, its still too warm, as the day get cooler that buck will start showing himself during daylight hours, and you have already payed your price of admission
Go get him.

Cudos to helping the old man! Hate to think of the number of times I've done similar things for the people I hunt on. They're always very appreciative.
That deer looks like he needs to be put on an emergency diet of carbon and steel to loose some weight. But until then, bbq coon is pretty tastey too.
