Just got it , works great, huge step up from my vari zone, Which should be no suprise. Like others have said and I did was rip the mount that came with it off and replace with other rings ( I went with the millets ) This scope is going to be enjoyable.

i have an XB -30 and want a different mount and rings any suggestion

I'm using my existing weaver style excal mount but went directly to medium height Millet rings, other rings will suffice, my local shop stocks millet and Leupold.This combo works great with the top quiver mount that I have ( Munch )
with the stock mount/rings that came with the scope I could just barely see the quiver mount. It doesnt show up now. IT is dialing in nicely, still have work to do but I have been working around the rain today.

Try the aluminum 30ml Excalibur rings at around $25.

I replaced my Excal rings with steel millet rings they are much stronger than the aluminum and can take some torking down with out stripping a nice upgrade you are going to like those rings and scope congrats on your purchase.

Yep ! they bolt right on ( weaver style ) scope is dialed in and working flawless. I really like how fine the cross hairs are when lit up. Glad I decided to try something different . Excal sells 30mm rings but the millets were a little cheaper and have 4 screws per ring rather than 2.

went and purchased some millet rings and just completed mounting the Hawke XB-30 let me tell you its alot better now
