I've killed one, lost one and had one catch me with my pants down!
When i compared the times i saw the critters to the solunar tables they were all in the minor feeding times.
I usually have good luck huntin the week after a full moon. 8)

I think the weather has as much if not more to do with deer movement during hunting season. Like to go after a front when the rain and wind quit. But usually end up going just whenever I can take off from work.

I like too hunt before a storm comes .all I know is some days deer are everyware and some days none. Don,t pay much attention too the moon have killed some of our biggest bucks on the full moon. I just hunt every day that way I,m there on the best day. Sooner or later I,m the right place the right time !

I too use to try and go by the solunar tables when hunting and fishing. Like you, I found they were not consistent. So I go whenever I can!

My favorite time is just before a strong front and just after the storm moves through. If the storm last for more than a day, then it can be spectacular when it finally moves through and the weather starts clearing, especially in the late season. It's like someone flipped a deer switch and they all came on!
Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison; And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die. Gen 27:3-4

I hunt when I can because my daily schedule is always crazy but I do like hunting the November full moon phase. Had good luck last year.

on a full moon, I like the middle of the day and early evening. If rain is coming and the barometric pressure is falling, it seems I see more deer movement...
I harvested a buck in a downpouring rain once..he just fed along like the weather was just right. like another post...makes the frog toggs come in handi..

well i sh_t can'd all my solunar stuff........ today was the last straw !!!
i had cameras out in acorn bottoms for the past 48 hrs.
movement was 9-13hrs difference. same with cams on planted plots...
i'm glad some of you have great luck with the predictions....i, MODS
will go by natural proof until it changes.
never have i been 6 days wifout at least one doe for tha freezer......
everyone blames it on the abundant acorn yield this year.
the deer don't have to wonder to find food. its in there natural environment
of way down deep where no man goes..... it seems like

planted food plots lately have less signs of activity since the rain of acorns
have started. there so plentyful, ifin your not careful you might bust your ass when walk'n thru the plantations

Wouldn't know. It's only snowed here twice in the last 47 years that I remember. Not much moves around here when it snows except for guys in mud trucks spinning around. :)

A cool crisp morning. Get to the stand early to let the woods die back down, close your eyes and relax( the excitment wont let you go back to sleep) Its the most wonderful, peaceful, thing that you can imagine.A REAL HAPPY PLACE! You never know what is going to happen when it gets light enough to see.I love it.
