need to get out earlier

Yesterday evening I decided to sit in my stand at the feeder. Went out to the farm I hunt about 4:30PM but the landowner had to show me his new muzzleloader and I was at his house until 5:30PM or so.

Went to the stand and didn't see any deer.

Pulled the camera card this morning.......................

You probably guessed it already

Thats when one of the newer Cameras that send you the picture to your cellphone would come in handy.you would have known he was there & could have try to stalk him. They're more expensive & there needs to be cellphone reception in the area.

In my zone we're allowed 6 deer but only one with antlers over 3".

Problem with my trophy hunting is I usually take the first one (something like the one in the pic) that I get a good shot at.

I get to thinking about the good eating if I do shoot, and the cold days ahead in the stand with the possibility of an unused tag if I don't shoot and my trigger finger contracts uncontrollably.

That's awesome your allowed 6 tags......where I hunt in the Grey County at the parents farm...I am allowed 1 tag... I have to apply in the spring for a doe tag and "IF" I get one I affix it to my buck tag...So I can harvest a buck OR a doe....But on the other side of the gravel rd is a different WMU and your allowed 2 tags....kinda BS in my opinion because we watch the same deer bed,breed and eat from our feeders on our property and then go to feed in the corn fields across the rd...So farmer bob across the rd can shoot 2 deer that clearly live on our property (WNU)....but we can only harvest 1....thank god for moose and waterfowl or I would run out of meat...

It's like they know!!

Never hurt's to keep the landowner happy...even if it's small talk.
It's hard for me to believe how few tags some of y'all get, guess i'm spoiled here in Ga., we get 2 bucks & 10 does!!

I'm done on my bucks and got 9 does to go!!

Oh yea...and all the hogs i can stand to shoot!!

wabi if'en ya need meat whack'em. If not wait a little while & see what shows up fer you. I get 9 tags as a land owner free. 6 deer & 3 turkey & all the hogs i can shoot, which is none thar none on my place
