need some advise

Post by BBDOWN »

last night I had a doe at 30yrds.I took my time got settled in and let her fly, the bolt went left about 10 feet ahead of her. after that I found that there are 2 little black spacers under the limbs that hit the vains thank god I missed the deer I could have hurt her, How do I get these spacers to stay in place? I put them where they are suppost to be and after three shots they were on the move again. Would glue hurt or void my warrenty? I don't want that to happen again.

Cut the exposed black plastic spacer with a sharp blade. The plastic shim should not extend into the riser valley.

If you are talking about these things sticking out from the limbs, then trim them off with box cutters or a good knife. Your riser area should be clear like that in picture #2 below.

With the black shims . . .

Without them . . .

Thanks guys I'll give that a try. Should I put a drop of glue on them to keep it from happening again?

You shouldn't need glue. Just trim 'em up and go shoot deer! :D

Can you post a picture? I'm not sure how these things would move unless the screws are loose . . .

Shoot some targets before you hunt again, in case something else is amiss.
