I figured it was only a matter of time before someone took it this direction. Apparently it's true.
As others have said, all you need really is enough room to stand and take a shot. This could be as small as a 1/4 acre if it's in the right spot. We've got 2 tracts down on the farm, one is 100 acres the other is 68 acres. I mainly hunt the 68 acres, but of that, I've got 1 little natural blind that do the vast majority of my hunting out of. I can shoot about 50 yds in any direction and that's what I hunt. Thanks a lot, Big58cal. I'm the first hunter in my family for a number of generations and this felt like a big rite of passage. How much corn is enough corn? 1/2 acre? 1/4 acre?As for the food, as others have said, corn is a good one to plant. Make sure you plant quite a bit though, otherwise the coons will tear it all down before the deer get to it.
