Re: recipe help
dip your small deer steaks in flour with salt and pepper(as you would fish)
add some oil to the skillet and brown the steaks quickly.
cut up potatoes 1/4" thick and lay slices in the bottom of a baking dish.
add water to the dish, about even with the top of the potatoes. (steams the meat)
place meat on top of potatoes.
cover dish with aluminun foil.
bake in oven @ 350 for 1hr 15 min...

Re: recipe help
First you shoot a deer.
Then you go to the top of the Excalibur Forum page to the 'Wild Game Recipe' announcement.
Other than that, there are a gazillion recipes on the web and in assorted outdoors cookbooks.
Here's my favourite burger recipe.
1 lb ground venison
2 tbsp minced onion
4 tbsp BBQ sauce
1 egg
salt and pepper to taste
Mix the above then mix in enough bread crumbs to give a stiff workable consistency. Form into patties.
Grill until done and enjoy in a sesame bun. Delish.
