Shorten your rope cocker to where you have to pull string up a few(3-6) inches to get it hooked. then just reach over and grab the handles and stand up.You wil pull mostly with your body and not your arms. It makes it all a lot easier

Speed is over rated. Go with something you can cock by hand if you forget the cocking aid in your car. I have a 175# I can cock it by had but don't do it all the time hard on the fingers but if I forget the aid my hunt is not wasted or have to try for a second shot.JMO.

Good to hear you you found a bow! The Vortex is a great choice and I'm sure you'll be very happy with it.

Don't worry too much about cocking it. The rope cocking aid reduces the weight by half and your using your whole body to cock it not just your arms.
