I'm planning on recreating Bill T's elephant bolts for fun, and I have to use 2213 aluminum shafts and and glue fish arrows in them, but I don't know what nocks I can use and I'm not sure if I can drop a brass insert in there? Any help?

Can you use a 2219 shaft on the outside? Go to an archery shop and see if theyll let you play around with blank shafts. Start with a 2219 and see what other shaft will fit inside it pretty snug. After you've got that, cut the inside shaft just small enough that you can fit the front and back inserts into the 2219 shaft, with the inside shaft butting up against the inserts on both ends.
I'm no arrow guru, but this seems like a good place to start tinkering.

Take a front insert cut it off at 3/8" & glue it into the back. Then chamfer the edge of insert so it doesn't cut yer string. You will have to cut yer inside arrow down by the 3/8" cause of the length of insert. I used to build some of my logs by using 2213 & 2013 on inside.
