        . I dry fired one day with a brand new string, blew the string off and ruined it. Replaced it with another brand new string and did the same thing no more than 5 minutes apart. Now that is us the DB, at least my mind wasn't working right I can use that as an excuse, , :x , , :? , :( , , . Now I have learned if the think tank isn't working right leave the crossbow hanging on the wall, 8) ,  .

Yeah DF is what you feel like after you dry fire

I know the feeling. It almost always happens when you get distracted. I'm tyring to make it a habit to run thru my whole routine again when I get distracted,so far so good. Just another reason to own an Excalibur recurve.Glad everything is ok

Rookie question, While doing my research to buy excal, I saw somewhere that a guy had a bar mounted through the scope mount and flipped down in front of string. It flipped up when bolt was inserted. Is that worth while or does it take from performance?

They make an aftermarket anti-dry fire that can be added to the excal, BUT WHY?!?!?!

Do these Threads ever go away ? Makes a person almost compell theirselfs into confessing of dryfiring! Someone wagging their tongue is most distracting when trying to sight-in & practice. I can tell you this its the Kiss of Death to a beautiful made gn/white Boo custom string. I am not going to tell the name of the tongue flapping on both ends that caused me too ruin a great string dryfiring Miss Vixen earlier this yr my Mrs!
